Middle cove

This 1980s 4 bedroom home was a full internal strip out and resurrection of the front facade. The focal point of this project is definitely the facade, where we constructed a hardwood structure that ties in the balcony to the house. Originally a bare, uncovered space turned into a private luxurious area with beautiful views of the leafy cove. The internal living, dining and kitchen were 3 separate rooms and the design required us to remove load bearing walls to give these spaces an open plan flow. The clients request through planning was to have a well functioning kitchen, with ample space to cater for multiple people. The master bedroom was converted into a ensuite with 1 smaller adjoining room turn into a spacious walk in robe. All existing windows were removed and replaced with aluminium commercial grade frames, with 2 large sliding doors opening out onto the balcony. All the walls were rendered with new plasterboard ceilings through out the house giving the home a fresh look.
